The brilliant minds behind JMS are a team of seasoned experts who have vast experience in numerous fields. From the intricacies of manufacturing to the finer points of electronics design, conformance testing and automotive calibrations software, these pioneers have carved out their legacies over decades of experience. Their immense wealth of knowledge and deep-rooted expertise forms the foundation upon which JMS was built.

Chris Johnson

For over 30 years, Chris has focused on creating innovative products and brands in the light truck and automotive aftermarket space.

Between 1989 and 2003, Chris held several engineering positions with: Bell Labs, US Government, Lucent Technologies, and Avaya.

In 2003, Chris left Avaya to form Superchips Custom Tuning a Joint Venture that created software to calibrate vehicles. At the end of 2007, Chris partnered with a Private Equity group to form SCT. In 2013, Chris and SCT exchanged Private Equity partners and changed their name to Derive. Derive has 185 employees across three locations in the United States.

JMS was formed while Chris was working at Bell Labs in 1993. JMS provides niche electronic design, engineering, and manufacturing to Tier 1 vehicle suppliers and OEM’s. Past and current customers include: Ford, Roush, TI Automotive, TI Fluid Systems and Harley-Davidson.

Chuck McArthur

Chuck McArthur is a seasoned professional has over 40 years of experience managing and guiding high growth firms thrive.

Prior to JMS he was the CEO for several energy companies: Circular Energy, Andeler Corporation and United Fuel & Energy (publicly traded).

Mr. McArthur also has extensive experience in large tech sector organizations; he was the President and COO of ViewSonic Corporation (global provider of computer display products).

Throughout his career, Chuck has held senior management positions in several successful companies, including: Atari, Solectron, Memorex, Capetronic and Mag Innovision.
